With Valentine’s Day just a night away, I thought I’d give some last-minute tips on where to go and what to wear. Valentine’s is my favorite day of the year… and no, it’s not because I have a date (I don’t). But it’s because whether or not Valentine’s is overrated for you, there’s no denying that the amount of love given on this day is just incomparable to any other day. This day circulates on making the people around you feel loved.
Back in college, I used to give free hugs as part of my Valentine’s tradition. I would roam the grounds of the university spreading smiles to everyone I come across. Now that I have a day job, I know that Valentine’s this year just won’t be the same for me. Though I know that that isn’t gonna stop me from giving love to everyone I come across. 🙂
Cafe photos from Colleen’s Happy Socks
Let’s start off with brunch. If you haven’t already, I suggest that you check out Jamie’s in Tanay, Rizal. It’s a pastel-themed cafe that is sure to satisfy your unicorn addiction! Anything pastel is the way to go for this venue. I went with a fluffy sweater (perfect for the chilly season lately), paired with some white fitted jeans, sneakers with a bronze accent, and a cute structured backpack! It’s a good place to chat and have a cute little date! I’m sure that your instagram-worthy photos will make other couples jealous!
Being in a relationship gives you a lot of backbone to try new things because you have someone to try them out with. Being childish is not an exception to this one. Ball Pit Manila is among one of my suggestions for a fun and quirky date this V-day. But you’re not limited to trying this place out if you’re in it for the fun. You can go for Mystery Manila, Jump Yard, Board Game cafes like Ludo, and many more! As long as your partner’s down for something new, then I’m sure the two of you will end up having a blast!
I went for something classy but comfy for this one. Now, I know what you’re thinking: aren’t off-the-shoulder tops high-maintenance? Well, they don’t have to be if you follow this neat little life hack! Once you’re good with that, just put on your favorite pair of white sneakers, wear a few pieces of jewelry, and go take the plunge in the ball pit!
If you’re looking for some winin’ and dinin’ this Valentine’s day, then why not head on over to 71 Gramercy for some RnR with your beau? 71 Gramercy offers a beautiful view of the Manila skyline. Talk about getting fancy, huh? For this look, you can look effortlessly classy just by wearing the classics: A little black dress, some strappy heels, a little clutch bag, and, of course, top everything off with a bold red lip.
And there you have it, Ladies! A couple of destinations paired accordingly with some cozy date outfits at your disposal. All you gotta do now is drag your mates to wherever you want to go!
For all the singles out there, like me, grab a glass of wine, sit back, relax, and cry your heart out with Jollibee’s videos. :'( Just kidding! Just because you’re single doesn’t mean that there’s no love for you. Go on and surprise your parents, siblings, friends, and absolutely anyone in your life that makes you feel special. 🙂
I hope you guys find this post useful. Let me know if you headed off to any of these destinations or perhaps found inspiration in the outfits I posted! Which outfit is your favorite? Comment your choice down below!
