Hello, Blogosphere! I am officially welcoming myself back after a long hiatus due to my thesis. To jumpstart this comeback let me tell you that I think it’s safe to say that I am slowly but surely figuring out my personal preferences when it comes to clothes. The urge to find inspiration from other fashion enthusiasts is slowly subsiding. The thing is, being original is so hard these days. There are so many things that can influence you whether you mean to or not. A post from Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, and other social networking sites can easily get embedded in your head and can cause you to unintentionally revolve around that image. The same goes for my writing style. I used to envy how deep and eloquent Bea Marin would go on in her blog posts and I would end up trying so hard to sound so ambiguous in my entries. I think that going on hiatus has enabled me to figure out the more important things in life: my thesis, the real world, my architectural skills, maturity… the list goes on and on. But the gist is this: This is my blog. I can post whatever I want to. Hopefully, the things I post can attract the right kind of crowd that would appreciate what I have to offer.
In other news, let’s discuss what I’m wearing. First off, this isn’t exactly what I usually wear. I wore this because a) none of my jeans would fit me; b) it was laundry day and my clothes were still in the dryer and; c) I tried everything on and this seemed to be the perfect fit for that day. Denim on denim is actually harder than it looks (well at least for me!). I think that the right technique for this style is finding the right shade of denim to match. My food baby, which I gained throughout the duration of my thesis depression, has been covered up by this lovely high-waisted shorts. Thank God for the invention of high-waisted things.
I called this post Kylie because I think my outfit kinda resembles her style. Maybe not. Haha! But Kylie definitely pioneered this hairstyle to becoming trendy.
BTW, if you’ve noticed, a couple of blog posts have been removed. This is due to a technical error. Sorry about that! Anyway, almost all of my blog posts are quite personal. There’s always a mix of style and character and I hope you guys enjoy that! x
